Kids Safety Net Limited

Over the last fourteen years, Kids Safetynet Ltd has developed products specifically for the education of children’s safety. These are unique products not available anywhere else in the UK. The products are a series of publications built around a combination of safety themes and characters. Each is associated with an aspect of safety or topic of personal development. They are also linked to various key stages of the national curriculum, therefore, the product is automatically segmented by both age and topic.

Kids Safetynet Ltd believe that their products have several unique selling points. They have been designed and developed using an educational technique based on ‘educate, explore and enable’. This allows the child to:

be educated using facts and information, rather than just being told to do or not to do something that may have the opposite reaction.

explore their own attitudes and values towards those facts.

resist peer pressure, become more assertive and base their decisions on personal knowledge and understanding

• through the eyes of the child rather than a directional adult

• for use in the classroom or at home with a trusted adult, educating the child, family and peers

• in conjunction with and endorsement of the Emergency Services, educationalists and child protection experts

• to meet the needs of the National Curriculum linking to the right age group and complementing other lessons of English, Science and Mathematics using cross-curricular themes

• in response to a need identified by the Emergency Services, teachers, parents or government and regularly updated with the latest educational developments, topics, themes and scientific information

• focussing on key elements of Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship education.

They are also:-

• tested in the classroom with children in the targeted age groups before being published

• now mandatory in secondary schools and strongly recommended by Ofsted for primary schools
